Ipad Air 4. What to expect on 15th September 2020

Well... finally it is happening. Apple finally announced its live event which will take place on 15th September 2020.  Since Apple usually holds at least two major events per year, this year due to the global pandemic the story was a bit different.

Let's talk about what to expect from tomorrows live event. The first rumor that did break just before the pandemic was obviously about the IPad Air 4. Many speculations were made regarding the overall looks and specifications about the successor of the IPad Air, but most of them were just theories or as mentioned before rumors.

Just last month in August a twitter user leaked a image of possible looks of IPad Air 4

From the leaked images we can definitely say one thing that Apple is stepping up in its design and overall looks of its products. Here we can see that rather than continuing the bold and ugly bezels at the top and bottom of the device in its previous devices, Apple is going for a far more cleaner and elegant approach that they introduced in IPad Pro lineup.

Also there were rumors about having an in-display finger print scanner as there is no IR face recognition support in IPad Air 4, but that seems unlikely. I think that Apple would go for a finger print scanner embedded in the power button. But this just an idea or a rumor.

These are just the looks and design that we discussed, let's talk about the actual specifications.
The IPad Air 4 might come with the Apple A12 or A12z bionic chip. It wouldn't make any sense if Apple throws in some old processor in 2020. It obviously will keep its new A13 an A14 bionic chipsets for its main IPhone and IPad Pro lineups. The screen might come with a  normal 60Hz refresh rate with its retina display.

Also the IPad Air 4 may get the IPad OS 13 out of the box. But in this event we might also get to see the new IPad OS as well. Also the price could start from Rs. 40000 in India.

But still these are just If's and Then's. We never know what Apple will surprise us with.
I will post more updates on my blog on these topics.
Hope you liked this blog. Stay tuned.
